Friday 5^th June 2026 – Kayaking & Quiz on the Docks – Part 1

The First of 2 weeks of Water Sports on the Docks. This week we have 16 places for Kayaking. This will be allocated on a first come first served basis via OSM Booking. Link will be sent shortly for booking (there are a further 16 spaces for Kayaking next week for anyone who misses out – please only book onto 1 session).

Meet at Benjamin Perry Boathouse, Phoenix (Redcliffe) Wharf, off Lower Guinea Street , Bristol BS1 6TJ at 6.30pm. Further information on location can be found here.  Finish at 9.00pm at the boathouse.

Please bring a change of clothing, shoes & a towel. If it is windy a light waterproof jacket is advised to keep the wind off. Buoyancy aids and helmets will be provided.

For those not canoeing there will be a Quiz around the Docks to complete in teams. Meet same place and time as above.

Friday 19^th June 2026 – Beach Games & Chips

Our Annual Trip to the Seaside. Please meet at the Front of Temple Meads station at 6.00pm. We will be heading to Weston Super Mare for a Sandcastle competition, some beach games  and some chip butties! Cost £10. We will return to Temple Meads at 10.30pm. Uniform not required. If you want to go in the sea bring your trunks and a towel! OSM link will be sent shortly to register and for payment.

Friday 26^th June 2026 – Climbing, Crate Stack & Aerial Trek

Some fun on the Tower at Woodhouse Park. Earlier Start time of 6.00pm at the Scout HQ and we will travel by Minibus to Woodhouse. Uniform not required. Normal finish time of 9.30pm at Scout HQ. OSM link will be sent shortly to register.

In addition to the above we have been offered the opportunity to be part the 75th Anniversary celebration of the Kennet & Avon Canal. They are looking for Explorers to accompany a Narrowboat up the harbour. We have 10 spaces available to paddle 5 x 2 man canoes. Some experience of paddling in required (eg the ability to paddle in a straight line). Date Wednesday 10^th June 2026, 6.30pm – 9.00pm. Meet at the BP Boathouse as above. Sign up on OSM Link.
