A 9 Goal thriller was served up by Fromeside for the large Boxing Day crowd. Despite the snow of recent days we were blessed by glorious sunshine for this annual pilgrimage to Eastville Park. Fromeside stared the match at whirlwind pace going 2 up in the first 20 minutes with goals from Eddie Peck and Andy Morley. The game could have been out of reach by the first quarter but for a hatful of squandered chances. Against the run of play the Ex Members got back into the game when a wicked in swinging corner from Nash was palmed into his own net by Fromeside keeper Elliott. Richard Scott scrambled in an equaliser from another set play shortly before half time leaving it all level at the break.

Fromeside regained the initiative straight from Kick off for the 2nd Half when Jack Baber spotted Ex Members keeper Greenwood off his line and lobbed him from the half way line to deservedly restore Fromeside's Lead. Fromeside continued to boss the game but another goalmouth scramble resulted in Richard Scott scoring again to make it 3-3. Fromeside continued to dominate and 2 goals in quick succession from Ollie Norman made it 5-3. Richard Scott completed his hat trick when he pounced on a loose ball after the keeper failed to hold the ball but this was nothing more then a late consolidation as the final whistle blew and the Unit deservedly triumphed for the 2nd time in 3 years.
