February Programme Update
Night Hike -Friday 3rd February 2012
Earlier Start time of 6.30pm We will be walking the route of the District Scout-a-bout to check that everything is OK for the forthcoming Scout Competition. Later Finish of 10.30pm. Uniform not required. Please complete the attached Permission form if you are attending.
Climbing -Friday 10th February 2012
Earlier Start time of 7.00pm. Climbing at Bristol Climbing Centre. We are limited to a maximum of 18 spaces which will be allocated on a first come first served basis. If you wish to attend please return the attached form and the sum of £5 by Friday 3rd February. Normal Finish of 9.30pm. You need to wear clothes you can move in and trainers!
District Scout-a-bout - Saturday 11th February -Sunday 12th February 2012
As usual we will be providing the support crew for the District Scout-about Trophy. We will be Manning Checkpoints , Walking with inexperienced Groups , Cooking food and any other sundry requests. It is vital we have as many people as possible attend as we will have loads to do. Meet at the Scout HQ at 5.30pm on Saturday Evening (or direct at Mafeking Hall from 5.45pm). Be prepared for walking or sitting on checkpoint. Waterproofs and warm weather gear required. We will be camping overnight and will return at 11.00am on the Sunday. Please complete the attached permission form if you are coming.
The Great Pancake Race -Friday 17th February 2012
Normal start time of 7.30pm. Pancake making and racing. Finish at 9.30pm. Uniform Required.
Advanced Mapping -Friday 24th February 2012
Normal start time of 7.30pm. Further preparation towards the Chief Scout Award Hikes. Finish at 9.30pm. Uniform Required.
Don't forget subs of £10 is due on the 1st Friday monthly.
