Ex Fromeside bag a win in a Scrappy Match

After the postponement of the game due to a frozen pitch on Boxing Day battle commenced on Sunday 2^nd January. Fromeside started well dominating the first half and took a well deserved lead when Matt Scott headed over the top of his own advancing goalkeeper Alex Grosvenor to make it    1-0. Although having the majority of the possession Fromeside failed to add to the score before half time. The 2^nd half saw the Ex-Fromeside take the initiative and a mix up from a corner saw Alex Bascombe tap in from 4 foot to equalise. Ex-Members kept the pressure on and took the lead when Sam Baber deflected a shot into the top left hand corner leaving keeper Sean O'Mahony stranded. Fromeside failed to create any further meaningful chances and Bascombe got his 2^nd of the match 2 minutes from time with another tap in after an initial good save by Sean O'Mahony. Yet another close match which was ultimately decided by defensive mistakes.
