The story of a great win...

Victory for Fromeside
Hodgkins ends 20 years of hurt
Fromeside ESU 3 Ex Fromeside 2
Sam Peck (2) Jonathan Nash (Pen)
Chris Hodgkins Matthew Scott
The Unit won the Annual Boxing Day Fixture for the first time in 20 years. After near misses the previous 2 years the Unit was finally victorious. In an even game Fromeside ESU took a first half lead through dynamic winger Sam Peck. Early in the 2nd half Jonathan Nash equalised from the penalty spot after the referee gave Ex Fromside a highly debatable penalty against Fromeside skipper Mark Ryan. However justice was done when Sam Peck restored Fromeside’s lead just minutes later. Fromeside looked to be hanging on for a glorious victory when a goalkeeping howler allowed Matthew Scott to grab a 92nd minute equaliser. Fromeside however grabbed a glorious 96th minute winner when veteran defender Chris Hodgkins pushed up front to score the winner prompting wild scenes of jubilation at the final whistle in front of a record boxing day crowd of 19!!!
